Pierce House

PIERCE HOUSE

Organization: Historic New England
Location: 24 Oakton Avenue, Dorchester, MA
Grant Date: 2010

The Henderson Foundation supported the restoration of the exterior components of the Pierce House, including a new roof, exterior carpentry repairs, and energy reducing measures. The oldest portions of the house date to 1683, and it is among the rarest surviving examples of a 17th Century, or “First Period” House, in the Boston area.
